About the FabLab@FHDO
The FabLab@FHDO is an open, interdisciplinary creative workshop at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences that brings people from a wide variety of fields together to work and experiment together on the fabrication of (almost) everything. Our mission statement attaches great importance to responsibility for people, society and technology and focuses on making an active contribution to shaping the future.

What is a FabLab?
FabLabs (Fabrication Laboratories) are designed to support people, regardless of their expertise, education and background, to plan and implement projects in exchange and cooperation with others. These open and collaborative environments provide a platform for creativity, innovation and collaborative learning.
This is where ideas can emerge, grow and be realized together. FabLabs encourage the exchange of knowledge and skills to broaden participants' horizons and help them make their projects a success.
